Mini Superdrug Haul

Hi lovelies!

How are you all? I got paid last Friday and decided to treat myself instead of just spending it on necessities and rent.. Not my wisest idea, but it means I bought some new goodies sooo I can justify it, right?!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: The first thing I immediately searched into http://www.superdrug.com was, of course, the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. As I stated about a week ago in my Holy Grail Makeup Products post, the Collection concealer is a staple within my makeup collection. Being a full-time university student, I can’t afford to buy high end concealers, which is fine because this concealer does the trick just fine! At only £4.19, it has medium-full coverage (more on the full side), is easily blend-able, AND they’ve released an ‘Extra Fair’ shade for us pale gals/guys! What more could you ask for? The only thing I will say, is it tends to crease a bit under my eyes, but that could likely be down to the ABH banana powder I’ve been using. I’ll switch us my powder and let you know in another post if anything changes!

Revolution Highligher: The second thing I was in dire need of was a new highlighter that I could travel with, as I’ve made the mistake too many times of taking my high end highlighters to uni with me and it smashing in my bag… I don’t even wanna talk about it. I decided to go for the cheapest one I could find that looked decent, and found the Revolution Highlight Reloaded in the shade ‘Just My Type’ and let me tell you… for £3, it is AMAZING. I was honestly shocked?! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the normal quality I’m used to with my high end highlighters (I’m a bit of a highlighter snob…) but for £3 you really can’t go wrong. The shade is a little dark for me but I can get away with it, and when I have fake tan on it will be perfect. It’s slowly becoming one of my favourite highlighters, as it gives me a subtle glow that leaves me looking healthy and awake. I LOVE this product!

Revolution Brow Pomade: Of course I had to purchase my favourite brow pomade. I used to buy the Freedom one, but I think they switched to revolution so it’s the same thing? I’m not really sure to be honest, but they both work just the same. This brow pomade is incredible for £5 – I’d honestly say it’s just as good as the ABH one that’s around £15. Of course, with any pomade you have to use a light hand as it can come across quite bold and dark, but that’s not a problem once you’ve had some practice. I gvie this product a solid 10/10! (For reference, I use the shade ‘Dark Brown’ to match my hair colour.)

Superdrug Nail Polish Remover: Like most people, I’m not picky with my nail polish removers. I basically just look for the cheapest one and it usually does the trick. This Superdrug nail polish remover did the trick, and for 79p I really can’t complain. I will say that the bottle is a little small, but that’s fine with me for that amazing price!

Rimmel London Nail Polish: So, as you all probably know by now, I’m cruelty-free with all my makeup products for ethical reasons. However, I often buy things like nail polishes and shampoos on a wim and completely forget to check if they’re cruelty free.. Rimmel, of course, is not cruelty-free – boo! I’ll do better next time guys; please don’t be too disappointed… With that said, this nail polish is great for £3, although I probably could find ones for about £1 that are just as good. Granted, it is shiny and does have great staying power. I just can’t support a brand that tests on animals.

wearing the concealer, highlighter & brow pomade.

Kiss ‘Corset’ False Lashes: As usual, I left it too long without buying new lashes and just kept re-wearing my old ones, which are not pretty much destroyed and unusable.. Don’t just me please guys – I want to get the best out of my money! Haha. Anyway, I decided to go for the Kiss false lashes in ‘Corset’ as they looked quite full, which is what I love. They were priced at £8, which is pretty standard for lashes I buy – it ranged from £5-£15, but I usually never go over £15 as I just can’t justify it, unfortunately. I was really pleased with these lashes. They weren’t too hard to apply (I use DUO lash glue always, as it’s the best I’ve tried) and gave me the dramatic, but not too dramatic, look I was going for. Would recommend!

So, there we have it! Did you guys enjoy this post? I quite often pop into Superdrug on my way home from uni, so once I’ve got a few things together I could do another haul post if you’d like? 🙂 I actually really enjoyed writing this one! Feel free to let me know what you think down in the comments.

Lots of love,

Soph. xx
