5 Pieces of Poetry

Hi loves,

Today, I thought I’d do something a little different. I actually haven’t mentioned it much on here, but my passion has always been writing – ever since I was a little girl!

I want to share 5 pieces of poetry I’ve written over the last few years, as it seems wrong to not share the most intimate of my thoughts with the people who support me the most (you guys.)

So, here goes…

1.) This one is about gender roles, and how we shouldn’t have to conform to them. It’s about how free we feel when we finally fight against them.

2.) This one holds a special place in my heart. One for my gals and guys fighting against their own mind whilst recovering from an eating disorder.

3.) This one is pretty self explanatory. It’s something I can’t help but think about a lot.

4.) I don’t think I have to explain this one.

5.) This one is actually about my own experiences. Before actually experiencing heartbreak, I regularly wrote about it (or at least what I thought it felt like.) Once I had experienced heartbreak in its truest form, I had no words to explain the feeling. I sat for hours, pen in hand, trying to find the words to explain heartbreak. I couldn’t.

I really hope you guys took something from these poems, or at least just enjoyed the read! Please let me know what you think of them – let me know down in the comments which is your favourite! Constructive criticism on my writing style completely welcome!

Lots of love,
