My Top 3 Facial Cleansers!

Hi, loves!

I’m in the mood to write a beauty post today as I’m aware I haven’t done one in a while! The social justice warrior side of Soph took over, and I’m not even sorry.

I want to let you guys in on my 3 all-time favourite facial cleansers. For me, cleansers are the most important part of skin care as it eradicates all the dirt and oil on your face, leaving you feeling clean and fresh. If there was one part of my skin routine I’d choose if I could only pick one, it would 100% be cleansing! I guess I’m a cleaning addict – what can I say?!

1.) Liz Earle Cleanse&Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

I want to talk about this one first as it’s my absolute number 1 favourite… it’s just SO good! I think this was the first cleanser I ever tried when 12 year old me was rummaging through my mum’s skin care trying out all the different products. 12 year old Soph didn’t see anything special about this product and just found it fun to play with.. Oh, how naive she was! This cleanser is EV-ERY-THING. It leaves my skin feeling soft, fresh, and clear. It gets rid of my redness and blotchy parts. Not to mention how gentle it feels when you massage it into your skin! You also receive 2 free cotton cloths with the product as that’s what you use to wipe it off your face with hot water. If you haven’t tried this cleanser, PLEASE do yourself a favour and go buy it! You will not regret it – it’s so worth the money!

2.) Soap&Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk

If you somehow don’t already know this about me, I’m a sucker for a cleansing milk. I love the thin consistency of it and they always seem to smell great. I also feel that they’re way more moisturising than other cleansers.. Is that just me?! Anyway, this cleanser definitely didn’t disappoint as far as cleansing milks go. It lasts forever and, in my opinion, isn’t expensive considering the amount of product you get and the quality. Soap&Glory are one of my fabourite skin care brands and this product alone is part of the reason for that. I also love their Vitamin C facial wash – that stuff is AMAZING at clarifying and clearing your skin, as well as performing fantastic anti-aging benefits due to the rich vitamin C! If you don’t believe me with how great this product is, buy it for yourself and test it out. You won’t be disappointed – trust me!

3.) NO7 Radiant Results Hot Cloth Cleanser

For £13 you get 200ml, which equates to £6.40 per 100ml. Not bad, right?! I feel you get a good quality cleanser for the price here, especially when comparing it to the Liz Earle Cleanse&Polish which comes to £17 per £100ml! Not to mention how much I trust NO7 as a brand; I use their night cream so I know I can trust them to keep my skin looking healthy and youthful, whilst also adding a natural dewy glow. The only reason this cleanser doesn’t rank as highly as the other two I’ve mentioned is because it’s a little thick for me, which makes me feel like it’s a little too heavy on my face. That being said, it’s never broken me out and leaves my skin feeling super clean, supple and soft. A great product, especially for the price point! Make sure to get your hands on it!

So, there we go! My top 3 cleansers. What is your favourite cleanser? What cleansers do you think are great for the price? Let me know down in the comments – I’m always looking for a fab bargain!

Lots of love,

Soph. xx

  1. My all time favourite cleanser is the body shops vitamin e creamy cleanser 😍😍 but the soap and glory cleansing milk sounds lush. Might just have to give it a try when mine runs out! 😊😊

  2. I’m not sure when I last used a proper cleanser. I don’t really wear make up and I always preferred the toner.
I am a big fan of micellar waters – the Tesco own brand for sensitive skin is amazing IMO and for face washes and scrubs I like the Sanctuary Spa range. I’ve noticed that they’ve got a lot more variety now so I’m waiting for my current tube to run out so I can buy a new one but they last forever for me XD

    1. I really need to get into the habit of using toners – it’s unfortunately definitely a segment of my skin care routine i often (unintentionally) abandon. Oooh I definitely need to try the Tesco micellar water! I love them too; they’re great for taking makeup off. I LOVE the Sanctuary Spa facial washes! So good for clearing up the skin and hydrating. Thank you for the comment!! 🙂 xx

I love the Liz Earle cleanse & polish, it’s just so amazing & it feels luxe to use, I’m going to repurchase that one when I finish with the soap & glory vitamin C one I have atm xx

    1. Me too! And I actually though my skin was in decent condition… Oh, how naive I was. :’)
I love the Vitamin C one! I’m very nearly at the end of my bottle, unfortunately. 😦 Really need to repurchase a backup ASAP xx

  4. I totally agree that cleansing is the most important thing! I have really sensitive skin so when I try one that works, I tend to be quite loyal to it. My favourites are all balms, the top one being the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm but that one is about £50 for 50ml so it breaks my heart a bit every time I buy one. My favourite budget option is the Boots Botanics one, it’s about £10 and feels so nice on the skin x

    1. I’ve not actually tried a cleansing balm – have I been living under a rock??? Ahhh I don’t know if I could justify £50, but if it works for you why not?! it’s so hard to find a cleanser that works for our skin type so we may aswell stick with one when it does. Ii also love the Boots Botanics one; it’s so good for the price isn’t it? xx

  5. I have to admit despite suffering from psoriasis, I only ever use creams prescribed by doctors but have never tried a fave cleanser or anything like that. However, after reading this I think I will definitely be on the lookout for the Soap and Glory cleansing milk to try – hoping to develop a better skincare routine. This has been such an interesting post to read – especially as a beauty newbie!

  6. I’ve heard of Liz Earle but couldn’t justify the price so I tried the ALDI Lacura dupe, which I’ve got on quite well with, my skin is clear and soft. But my goto is always Origins Checks and Balances foaming face wash, it’s so gentle, suitable for all skin types, super effective, and smells amazing! That said, I might have to give Soap & Glory a try, it sounds lovely too 🙂 Lisa x

  7. I used to love the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser but found it sooo pricey! I’ve also used the Peaches and Clean cleanser before and that smells delicious! I currently use the Naturally Radiant cleanser from Superdrug which is CF and Vegan and I love it! x

  8. Oo! I’ve been meaning to try Liz Earle since I keep hearing so many great things! I’m currently a Lancôme cleanser but I think I’ll try this when it’s empty!
